Description

"To defeat an enemy, you must know them. Not simply their battle tactics, but their history, philosophy, art."

"I will start my operations here, and pull the rebels apart piece by piece. They will be the architects of their own destruction."

"Loss you say? The rebels may have protected the location of their base for now, but, in doing so, they have narrowed my search.
Before today, they could have been hiding in any of the thousand systems. But now, now I know they are, almost certainly,
on one of the ninety-four planets surveyed by my infiltrators. The rebels have won this battle, but the war will be ours.
"

If there was any Star Wars villain who proved that you don't have
to have any 'force powers', or a lightsaber to be cool..It's Grand Admiral Thrawn.

The guy is just so cunning, and intelligent.
not to mention calm, always taking every defeat not as an embarrassment..but as a learning experience.

There can be no contest. IF the Star Wars universe had it's 'Professor Moriarty',
a criminal mastermind of such genius that he doesn't make mistakes,
and could stump even the great Sherlock Holmes..

Then, Thrawn is most certainly that criminal genius.

All he needs now is his own Sherlock Holmes to match wits with.
Lord knows this guy must crave someone to challenge him intellectually.

Funnily enough, Timothy Zahn referred to his overrated creation as "an evil Sherlock Holmes".

But, I agree: Thrawn is more Moriarty than Holmes.
